Steve has over 30 years of coaching experience at the college, high school, and youth soccer levels. From 1994-2006, he was co-Head Coach, with his brother Mike, of the Women's Soccer Team at Cornell College. Steve has over 125 victories as a college coach and was twice named Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (IIAC) coach of the year. Also with his brother, Steve was the Varsity Men's Head Soccer Coach at Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School from 2004-2016. During his tenure at Kennedy, Steve led the team to four State Championship semi-finals, multiple Mississippi Valley Conference and Metro Championships, and has been named both MVC and Cedar Rapids Metro coach of the year. He grew up playing select soccer in Long Island, NY and St. Louis before moving to Iowa. Steve was an all-conference, all-metro, and team MVP player in high school.

Steve also currently holds his U.S. Soccer National C License.
